Last Tuesday, May 19th, 2015, I attended the FREE #ChalkFullOfFun event at the Santa Monica Pier. Celebrity mom and actress Beverley Mitchell (7th Heaven) teamed up with RoseArt and created a giant “football field-sized” 40,000 square foot chalk paint mural. The purpose was to celebrate art and inspire kids to get outside and be creative this summer.
The massive mural was the largest ever at the Santa Monica pier and took roughly 2,500 pounds of RoseArt Chalk Paint and 360 man-hours to complete. The design featured a giant sun with seven interactive play zones for kids and beachgoers to enjoy.
RoseArt donated $50,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of America during the event. With budget limitations a constant threat to the arts, the donation will support Club art programs coast-to-coast.
My daughter and I had a fun time at the beach, and enjoyed playing with the sidewalk chalk paint!
