Design Dance is a community based dance company located in Chicago. They currently serve over 1300 students a year with programs that inspire courage, connection and self-awareness. This month, Design Dance is bringing their program to Los Angeles, CA!

What: Acceptance Day

Students are invited for a full day of yoga, meditation, creative writing and dance making on the theme of acceptance! This day concludes with a community performance for friends and family to attend!

Where: Topanga Community Club (1440 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd.)

Who: Students ages 9-13

Cost: $10 (Register using special code WESTSIDEMOMMY to waive the registration fee)

What: Family Yoga Event

Where: ivivva Topanga Mall (6600 Topanga Canyon Blvd).

Who: Students ages 9-13 + their Parents!

Cost: Free!

Monday, May 22nd

When: 6:00pm – 8:00pm

What: The Art of Self-Acceptance: How to Love Yourself While Growing Your Career

Where: WeWork Promenade (312 Arizona Ave, Santa Monica, CA)

Join us for an intimate conversation about the delicate balance between self acceptance and career growth, moderated by Design Dance Founder/Director Debra Giunta. We’ll enjoy food and cocktails while sharing ways to better encourage a healthy self-image as changemakers and entrepreneurs in the LA community.  Adult age 21+ welcome.

Design Dance

Design Dance programming is designed to build courage, connection and self-awareness.  Through a dedication to collaboration our program is constantly evolving to offer high quality dance education that aims to meet the needs of the communities we serve.  Each student, regardless of ability level, is given the tools to better express themselves and tell stories through movement, performance and collaboration.  You can find Design Dance in schools, park districts, summer camps and community centers in Chicago, New York and California.
