The show is amazing: worth the time, worth the money!

My family and I have always loved [amazon_textlink asin=’B00WR534TK’ text=’Aladdin’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’westmomm-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’865126fd-f81b-11e7-aea0-c17eb3b169a1′], the 1992 animated movie from Disney. So, It was super fun taking my seven year old daughter to see the new Broadway production at the wonderful Hollywood Pantages.
This show is amazing and quite true to the original animated movie. Easy to understand for the younger kids and they didn’t try to make it too sophisticated, like some previous Disney productions I have seen. This was done perfectly!
The costumes, scenery and sets were beautiful. The music score, singing and choreography all wonderful. Aladdin (Adam Jacobs) and Jasmine (Isabelle McCalla) had very good chemistry and both are totally adorable and talented.
The Genie (Michael James Scott) stole the show. After his big first act number, “Friend Like Me”, he actually received a standing ovation. I’ve never witnessed that before! Perhaps the extended standing applause was just because of his exuberant performance. However, I think it could also be a little about our sadness at the loss of Robin Williams, who originated the role in the animated movie.
It was a lovely evening and I highly recommend the musical Disney’s “Aladdin” for your whole family!
I loved Aladdin!

My favorite character was the Genie who was really funny. Aladdin was good at playing his character too and Jasmine was so great and has a beautiful singing voice. I wish I had her costumes! Everyone was so good and I loved the dancing and singing so much.
Oh, did you know that at these big shows there is a live band called an orchestra? You can’t see them but they are there under the stage.
It was so good I want to see it again! It was fun to be with my mom alone but I wish my sister could have seen it too.
Aladdin was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen in a long time. It is magictastic!!!
