I avoided Facebook today specifically because I didn’t want any Game of Thrones spoilers from last night’s episode. Game of Thrones, or “GOT”, as fans like to say, is the best show on television right now. I finally watched it, then logged back on Facebook. The adrenaline is still pumping through my veins! It was one of those WOW episodes you want to watch over again. Sadly, next week is the season finale. GOT is one of those shows that brings people together, and thankfully on the West Coast we have the option of viewing it in East Coast time. I’m glad I celebrated the season premiere at a friend’s GOT party. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend their season finale party. However, I will be there in spirit!
Here are a few items to show off your GOT fandom
To Wear
Winter Is Coming Circle T-Shirt
This is one of the best catchphrases for a show. It’s so good, my biggest GOT fan friends named their daughter “Winter”!
For your desk
Vinyl figure
Don’t be surprised if you spark more conversations at work with Game of Thrones vinyl figures on your desk. Whether you are a fan of Jon Snow, Daenarys, Tyrion, or Cersei, or just want to get a couple of Dragons to protect your computer, they will help you weed out which people you want to hang out with at the water cooler Monday morning.
For your mead
Game of Thrones Stein
Drink like royalty in this HBO licensed stein. The pewter lid is a replica of the Royal Crown of Robert Baratheon. Whether you are with House Stark or House Lannister, a stein is by far the coolest vehicle to hold the beverage of your choice.
For your ears
Music from Game of Thrones
As many episodes as I’ve seen, I am still mesmerized by the opening title and theme song. My husband and I sit in silence when we watch the opening credits because to us, that is part of the full GOT experience. As I type this, the theme song plays in my head.
For your collection
Inside HBO’s Game of Thrones: The Collector’s Edition
This book illustrated book is a must for those who want a beautiful collector’s piece about the show. In a handsome gold-stamped case, it details the making of the show, scrolled maps, and an artist’s portfolio featuring never-before-seen storyboards. If you’re like me and want to know where everything is in relation to one another, these maps are just the thing (and perfect for framing)!
