Yesterday, my family and I enjoyed a fun day at Milk + Bookies‘ Charlie and The Chocolate Factory-themed event, Golden Ticket to Adventure at The Grove, Los Angeles. We enjoyed book readings (Jason Biggs and his wife read the book Ten Things I Love About You by Daniel Kirk ),candy samples from See’s Candy, cookies from Mrs. Thinsters, and complimentary water.
The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theme was present with actors dressed up as Oompa Loompas, and a “chocolate” (not real chocolate) fountain.

My daughter’s favorite part of was face painting, getting a balloon flower corsage, and (my personal favorite) a candy unicorn made in front of our eyes by the famous candy artist, Shan S. Ichiyanagi
The event took place next to the Bunny Bungalow
