It’s been two years since I’ve visited Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch, so it was really cool to see how much has changed since then. Located in Culver City, near West Los Angeles College, Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch has live entertainment, inflatable fun, food trucks, and other fun activities for the whole family.
My family and I visited Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch today (Saturday). Here are some tips for your visit:
Parking
It costs to park in their lot ($5 weekdays, $6 weekends, $12 valet), but if you get there early, you can probably find free street parking (like my friend did), or a meter. Meters are free on Sundays, so I would highly suggest visiting then!
Variable Pricing
The website lists pricing for admission and activities, and all paid tickets include a $5 pumpkin coupon.
FREE Weekday Admission (except Sideshow Fridays)
It’s free to visit during the week, which is great if you want to take pictures! The weather has been crazy lately (today was ridiculously hot), so it’s a good idea to visit multiple times for free to get the perfect shot!
Sideshow Fridays: 6 – 9 PM: $10 adults, $5 kids, under 2 free
Knife throwing, sword swallowing, juggling, sleight of hand, escape artists, contortionists, bed of nails, Electro-Girl, music, and more! Sideshow Fridays are a great way to kick off a fall evening for date night, or for kids who have a late bedtime!
Early Bird and Evening $5 Weekend Admission
Early Bird is 9:00am – 12:00pm
Evening is 6:00pm – 9:00pm
$10 Weekend Admission
12:00pm – 6:00pm, Child admission includes 3 activity tickets
VIP Experience
Since we were invited as a member of the media, we got the VIP Experience. Normally, it costs $35 online, or $40 onsite. It was super hot and sunny today, so I was very thankful for the shade, free chilled water, snacks, and private port-a-potty area. We didn’t go on the wagon, but online it says “guaranteed wagon access.”
Activities
We arrived around 11:15 and were there till about 2:00pm. I didn’t think we were be there that long, but the kids were having a good time. Most of the activities were good for all ages, but there were a few that were geared to bigger kids (like the super slide and the spider bouncer) or were too scary for the little ones.
Here are the ones the kids enjoyed:
Pumpkin Bouncer

There were two bounce houses at the pumpkin patch – this one and the spider one. The spider one is for bigger kids and is much bigger. This one is small and perfect for the younger ones. The attendant let the kids go in groups according to size, which was great because I wasn’t scared of the kids getting squashed!
Giant Rocking Horses
There were a few of these around the pumpkin patch and each of them had a unique name. They were beautiful and strong – even adults could ride on them! The giant rocking horses make for really cool photo ops! These giant rocking horses are hand made by the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch family!
Petting Zoo
Here, the kids played with goats, a sheep, chickens, and a duck! The website says each entry includes one cup of animal feed, but I think they forgot to give us ours. It was still fun, and the kids really enjoyed it.
Tipi Village
When I saw the tipis, I thought, “Yes, shade!” However, to a kid, it’s the best thing ever. Inside the tipi is a rope with knots. The kids LOVED playing in this, which makes me want to get one for my home!
Hay Maze
The kids had so much fun in the hay maze, it was difficult to get them out! Kids of all sizes love crawling through the smallest of spaces and climbing on top of the bales of hay. I would say it’s perfect for 2-5 year olds!
Pumpkin Village
Pumpkin Village is very cute and a wonderful photo op. There are huts and houses of varying sizes comprised of pumpkins. There is also the giant pumpkin most people take pictures in, but I really like these huts. They are adorable.
Drumming with Rhythm Child
Before we left the pumpkin patch, the kids played percussion instruments with Rhythm Child. If it wasn’t already past naptime, we would have stayed longer because it was really fun! Everyone was invited to drum along, and he provided all the instruments. He was engaging and entertaining, we hope to catch another one of his events!
We’ll be back
Overall, we had a great day at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch! We will definitely return, hopefully on a cooler day!
