Last night, my family and I attended the Halloween-themed event, Nights of the Jack. Open now through November 4th, Nights of the Jack is a half-mile self-guided tour of of hand-carved pumpkins artistically displayed, illuminating the night. Appropriate for all ages, this event showcases very creative displays of dinosaurs, under the sea, celebrities, sports figures, Disney Princesses, and more. Just when I thought it was going to end, there was plenty more to see!
Timed Tickets
Guests are assigned timed tickets for entry, which avoids congestion both in the parking lot and at the event. We did self parking ($7) instead of valet ($14), but note that the walk from the self-parking lot is quite dusty, as it is on a ranch. So make sure you allow yourself enough time to walk from the lot (safely!) to the event.
Stroller-friendly
The path for the event is paved, and there are ramps throughout, so it’s great for little ones who can’t (or don’t want to) walk.
Sights and Sounds
At the entrance to the event is a shop, where lighted objects and fun Halloween items are available for purchase. This is the place to pick up that glowing light saber!
Then, there are food trucks and a whole bunch of photo opportunities at cut-out stands! My daughter and her friend wanted to take pictures at all of them!
All the displays were amazing!
Scarecrows line the path and greet guests with spooky (but not scary) music playing in the background:
Then, a gorgeous tree decorated with hundreds of small pumpkin lights shine the walkway…
…to introduce the first set of amazing and impressive jack-o-lanterns combined to form a dinosaur scene!
On the opposite side on display were intricately carved sports figures, LeBron James, Serena Williams, Kobe Bryant, and more.
Then there was a seascape:
The jellyfish were my favorites!
Dia De Los Muertos-themed designs were bright and colorful
Humorous “tombstones” provided some comic relief
As did the end of the “solar system” display:
Traditional movie monsters looked amazing as Jack-o-Lanterns:
And celebrity couples followed after:
My daughter’s favorite display were the Disney Princesses (plus Maui!):
What’s a Los-Angeles pumpkin show without high-end stores on Rodeo Drive?
And of course the Hollywood Sign:
And more celebrities, past and present:
The cutest Alice in Wonderland themed area!
A skeleton motorcycle gang
The yard of a Haunted House, complete with talking Jack-o-Lanterns:
The coolest spider web to walk-through
And a dragon completes the show!
