Last month, I posted information about the Christmas light drive thru, Christmas in Color – Los Angeles. Tonight, my family and I visited (our ticket was complimentary).
Arrive Early
Our reservation was for 5:30pm (the earliest time available), so we made sure to arrive early, as these events can get quite congested as I’ve learned. Thankfully, traffic was agreeable (it took 45 minutes for us to get there from West L.A.). My 7-year old entertained herself on the drive with her Kids Kindle (affiliate link), and the toddler fell asleep.
Tunnels and More
Thankfully, there wasn’t a line when we arrived, so we got to the entrance quickly. It is small compared to other drive thru events we attended, but it was still a nice display of lights. There were several lighted tunnels of various designs. I also enjoyed the animated wall of lights and the vertical section of lights. My kids liked the characters that looked like they were singing along to the soundtrack playing on the radio.
Efficiently Entertaining
We got through the entire display in about 15 minutes. If the exhibit was full, I imagine it would have stretched it out to about 20 or 25 minutes. I think it was the perfect amount of time for a toddler without losing it, and the ticket price is right to get everyone in the holiday mood.
