In my search for affordable activities to do with my daughter, I went online to the Department of Parks and Recreation for Los Angeles and Culver City. The sites aren’t the easiest to navigate, but I managed to find two classes which fit into our schedule and her current naptime. Classes start soon, but there seems to be plenty of openings.

We signed up for Toddler and Me Playtime 2. It meets Mondays, from 3:30pm – 4:45pm, Sept. 22 – Dec. 1st.

Description: This class is a special time for you and your toddler! Join Karen Dudley, our Child Development Specialist for a special time for toddlers and parents. Karen will facilitate a warm environment to promote active learning, social interaction, sensory experiences, music and snack time. Topics will include setting limits, separation, toileting, sleep and eating issues.
Culver City Parks, Recreation, and Community Services
We signed up for Sing, Dance, and Play! Meets Thursdays, from 10:45am – 11:30am, Oct. 2 – Dec. 11
Description: This special parent-and-child music class combines music with creative movement and dramatic play. A wide variety of musical instruments and props are used to engage children in expressive and free movement. For children 6 months to 4 years old.
