Every Monday and Thursday* at the local hangout The Cow’s End Cafe in Venice is a music performance by a kid-friendly artist! Kids and their caregivers are welcome to join and sing-a-long. Purchase a drink (they have fresh pressed juices!) and/or food item from the cafe and head upstairs to the intimate back room where you and your child(ren) can get cozy on a couch, chair, or the floor to listen to a professional (mostly Los Angeles-based) musician!
The performer during our visit was Mista Cookie Jar! He played the guitar and sang original and cover songs. His upbeat, reggae-inspired music got the kids (and their caregivers) dancing! For his last few songs, he brought out the bubble machine, which was a big hit with the kids. It’s a real treat to see performers such as Mista Cookie Jar at The Cow’s End Cafe, because they have busy schedules and perform at various (ticketed) events throughout the year.
