The Taylor Swift Experience at The Grammy Museum

Today, I took my family to the Grammy Museum in Downtown Los Angeles. I’ve never been there, so I was excited to go. My niece and my dad are musicians, so I knew they would enjoy it. Luckily, I found a Groupon deal for admission. I purchased 4 tickets for $26 on Groupon. Even though I only needed 3 adult tickets, I still saved money buy purchasing the Groupon deal.

There are four floors to the Grammy Museum. Exhibits take up floors 2 through 4, and the first floor is the lobby entrance. We brought the umbrella stroller, and we were told we could use only one of the elevators – the one also designated for wheelchairs. It was fine, because the museum wasn’t crowded and it is relatively small. There wasn’t a place for us to check-in the stroller, so we had to take it  in anyway.

We were instructed to start on the fourth floor and make our way down. The entire museum was designed well, and the displays were pretty cool. Videos, instruments, clothing, and song lyrics are on display, among other interesting memorabilia and facts.

The Taylor Swift Experience takes up most of the second floor, which it shares with the Grammy Museum gift shop. Here are some highlights in photos. I really liked (but didn’t take a photo of) the video montage of Taylor Swift from birth to early success.

I really liked this display - it's what you first see when you get off the elevator on the second floor at the Grammy Museum. Taylor Swift's "Shake it Off" plays on loop on the giant boom box and the light up floor is for dancing.
