The Holidays are here at Legoland California. On Tuesday, we spent the day at Legoland and enjoyed the holiday decor. We also visited some sections of the park we didn’t have a chance to visit on our trip earlier this year.
Official Tree Lighting Ceremony November 27th
On Monday, November 27th, Legoland will hold its 15th annual tree lighting ceremony, with special honorary guest, actress and singer Hilary Duff. At 5:45pm, she will light the largest Lego Christmas tree, located in Fun Town. During the special lighting ceremony, she will present a check to children’s charity Baby2Baby.
Lego Friends Holiday Show
Lego Friends perform a holiday-themed story which will leave everyone wondering if the snow will get in the way of the party or not.
Holiday Crafts
On certain dates, you can do festive holiday crafts, located at Heartlake Stables.
Treats
It was our first time trying Apple Fries, which thankfully are available year-round. Our friend’s kid loves this treat because she has a nut allergy, and it’s one of the few things she can eat. We like it because it’s delicious!
Holiday treats for a limited time at Legoland include: churros con chocolate, Holiday Smoked Turkey Sandwich with rustic stuffing and spiced cranberry dressing, holiday cookies, peppermint milkshakes, apple cider, hot chocolate, smoked turkey legs, candy apples and more!
Lego Santa
We didn’t visit Lego Santa, but he is available for photos, along with his reindeer!

Other Fun Things We Did
Lego Ninjago
This was our second time on Ninjago, and the line was so much longer than the first time! I’m sure it’s due to the popularity of the Ninjago Movie, which released over the summer. My daughter was scared (again), but I’m pretty sure she will want to go on it again.
Junior Driving School
My kid loves this ride, especially since it was her second time, so she knew what to expect. She can’t wait until she is older so she can ride the bigger course, which is for 6 year olds.
Miniland
The holidays are alive at Mini Land! I love the Christmas tree and carolers at Rockefeller Center. There was also a “find the Santas” game in all of Mini Land! This was our first visit to Miniland and I was quite impressed.
Royal Joust at Castle Hill
It’s like riding a pony, but a Lego one! I thought this was the cutest ride. She had a great time “galloping” through the forest.
The Holidays at Legoland
Holidays at Legoland runs from November 18th – January 1st.
Legoland is located at: One LEGOLAND Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92008
