UBC Mom’s Group is back in session!

University Bible Church (UBC)’s Mom’s Group (A.K.A. Raising Moms Up) is back in session! Rebecca Brooks, who founded (and fabulously!) ran the group for the past five and a half years, recently stepped down and appointed myself and three other members to lead. We’d love to continue growing this group and welcome new members! Here’s some info on the group (as well as in this post):

On Wednesdays from 10:00am-noon, moms gather together in Westwood to be refreshed, encouraged, and equipped. Raising Moms Up is like a parenting class with friends.

We learn from professional parenting programs on how to raise our children the best we can, share our own stories, and get to know one another. It’s a wonderful place to meet other moms and foster new friendships. This term’s topic is “Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No to Take Control of Your Life.”

Childcare is provided, but the babies are welcome stay with their mothers if necessary.

If we don’t take care of ourselves from time to time, we won’t have any resources left to give our children!
